Street Light is an American Hip Hop artist from Detroit, MI. Most noted for baffling and clever wordplay, pure knowledge, along with an undefined and constantly evolving style, he has gained the ear of many who anticipate what he will come up with next. Born Christian Edward Grace on December 20, 1991, Street Light has been chosen from the start. While following in his father's footsteps, at age 11, he expressed his interest in hip hop and released his first single entitled "Right Now", which planted his foundation for spreading a message immediately for fear of never seeing tomorrow. Following the motto of 1 Corinthians 4: 1-6, while releasing 2 albums with heavy Christian influence entitled "Purpose" and "New Purpose" [along with numerous guest appearances] over the course of 6 years, Street Light began to gain the recognition of many people nationwide. In 2010, he established a highly successful online presence, mainly through the widely recognized YouTube. Winning multiple rap competitions against hundreds of other emcees, he built an even stronger core of followers and listeners. In 2011, Street Light began to catch fire. In July, he released a mixtape entitled "Blackout". On July 2nd, 2012, he broke 2 world records for the Longest Continuous Freestyle Rap, and Longest Marathon Rapping, clocking in at 13 Hours, 2 seconds nonstop. On January 3rd, 2013, Street Light released his third mixtape, "Press Start" which was hugely successful. He also placed 1st in Funk Volume's "Don't Fu[n]k Up Our Beats contest" -- the longest running hip hop competition on the internet-- over 1,700 other contestants. Now, at age 21, Street Light seeks to be the greatest lyricist of his generation while changing the lives of everyone who hears his message. "I'm not the "last of a dying breed". I'm something new. Evolved. Improved. Modified. Always changing. I am undefined. I am Street Light."
